For artists with an earning catalogue

Money for your catalogue now, not in quarterly instalments

MELODEEX buys back catalogues and advances future royalties to artists whose music already earns. We calculate the amount from your platform reports for the last 12 months and pay once the agreement is signed.

How the deal works
  • Only catalogues with a payout history: no demos, no fresh releases
  • With an advance, the rights stay with you
  • Paid in USDT or to a bank account

Preliminary estimate

How much does your catalogue earn per month?

Average income from all platforms over the last year.

$1,500per month
Royalty advanceThe catalogue stays yours
$9,000
Catalogue saleThe rights transfer to MELODEEX
$27,000

A guide based on current income. We name the exact amount after reviewing your reports: it depends on how stable the payouts are, the age of the releases and the rights involved.

Which catalogues we work with

We are interested in music that has already proved people listen to it. We do not judge potential; we count the income the catalogue earns today.

A good fit

  • Releases came out at least 3 months ago and keep earning
  • There are distributor or label reports for at least one quarter
  • You own the recording rights, or your co-authors are ready to join the deal
  • The income comes from streaming: Yandex Music, VK Music, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and other services

Not a fit

  • Demos, unreleased tracks and music “in the drawer”
  • New releases with no listening history
  • Catalogues with unsettled rights or disputes
  • Income only from concerts, advertising or beat sales

The longer the payout history, the more precise the estimate and the higher the amount.

Two deal types

The choice is yours. If in doubt, send the application: we will calculate both options and show the difference in numbers.

Why MELODEEX

We are a distributor and rights administrator ourselves, not a fund buying reports blind.

  • We see the real numbers

We work with platform reports directly, so we calculate quickly and without extra requests. We make the decision ourselves, with no lengthy approvals.

  • The catalogue keeps working

After the deal the music stays on every platform and gets MELODEEX smart links, pitching and marketing. The better the catalogue performs, the sooner the advance is recouped.

  • Terms on one page

Amount, term, recoupment procedure and what happens to the rights — in an agreement with no fine print. Catalogue reports are visible in the dashboard down to the track.

  • Paid the convenient way

Who owns the recording rights

Questions and answers

The rights to the recordings — the masters. Copyright in the compositions stays with the authors unless you yourself propose to include it in the deal.

Yes, for both an advance and a sale: the royalties have to pass through our reports. With a correct transfer under the same ISRC and UPC codes, the releases keep their pages, playlists and statistics — only the distributor changes.

With a sale that is our risk. With an advance we do not ask you to pay the difference back in cash: it is recouped only from the catalogue’s royalties, just over a longer period.

Yes. Individual releases or albums can be included in the deal — as long as they have a payout history.

Distributor reports for the last 12 months, proof of rights (agreements with co-authors or a label, if any) and an ID for the agreement. At the first step, links to the artist pages are enough.

After the agreement is signed and the catalogue is moved. It usually takes one to two weeks from application to payment; the speed depends on how quickly we receive the reports.
